Tasked with designing an addition to the Highbridge public pool, I was inspired by the corbeled vaulting system. This allowed for unique forms that resemble the lush cenotes of Latin America. The project is an extension of the pool area, yet it maintains the parking space with a green roof that is designed to be occupied by the public. Inside, the building contains a low-cost food court that would be available to the public and support low-income families. Outside the building, there is a large performance or gathering space and an ADA-accessible natural pool.
